Research
Our researchers cover a wide range of disciplines within the mobility domain. Some of our consultants specialise in cycling and cycling behavioural research. For local governments, we carry out research on the impact of new developments and realignments of roads and public space with respect to expected traffic flows. We carry out local parking surveys to support planning permissions for individuals and enterprises. We also analyse the effectiveness of innovative mobility applications and take a flexible approach to any emerging situation or condition. We run a young talents scheme, establishing partnerships with graduates-to-be, supporting scientific research within their mobility expertises. Scientific conclusions always find their way into our approach to the mobility issues of our projects.
Policy advice
Our varied team of experts enables us to provide policy advice based on your specific question. Many of our consultants have a personal specialism, such as cycling mobility, Intelligent Transport Systems, traffic management, urban design, behavioural science, ecology, politics and design. Depending on your needs, we can incorporate policy implementation, policy validation and policy evaluation in our tailor-made policy advice package. We can assist with all phases of this process. By being inclusive to all stakeholders’ interests we are able to create policy proposales to be supported by all.
Innovation
Our mobility experts are actively involved with innovation within various mobility disciplines. Historically, we are linked to innovations with cycling. We were involved with the development of the first Dutch cycling super highways and innovations regarding e-mobility. Our specialists also developed a new standard of road markings for cycling super highways and a new method to implement side markings in partnership with other innovators. Our experts are also involved with innovations on shared mobility, modal shift and drone technology for micro mobility research.
Project Management
Our senior mobility consultants have all the ability to act as project manager as well. Our project managers can be tasked to manage (highway) building projects, the set up and maintenance of traffic control centres, traffic management for events and the development of new cycle routes and/or user focused applications. Our project managers also sometimes act as project mediation directors, with the responsibility to coordinate stakeholders’ interests (both internal and external) and all communications. For all our services, we are able to provide inspiring presentations sessions. Because of our international team, we are able to do so in Dutch, English, German and even Russian.
